Day 25 (Wednesday)

Ico and the girls spent the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather. She and Pico were enthralled with the tennis ball and Kinsey was enjoying naps in the sun. One of the things that was interesting today is Ico kept going to the shade. In times past she has fallen asleep in the sun and frolicked in the sun. Here she is seeking shade by the fence. She is looking fuzzy but will hopefully become glamour girl this weekend.

Day 24 (Tuesday)

Raquel and I went to a great agility lesson today. You wouldn't know by Ico's exhuberance that she's pregnant. She is like Tigger the Tiger. Even though it has been months since Ico took agility lessons, she and Raquel were the stars of the class (boy, I wanted to put a tack under their seats!) It will be great fun to see the two of them at their first trial... they are going to tear it up! Nickel was a pickle and decided that she wasn't going to play with me since I was making her stay in a crate while Ico got to play. Our instructor, Andrea, took two seconds to get Nickel roughting it up... Nickel definitely wanted to prove to me that if I wasn't going to play with Her she wasn't going to play with ME. Ha ha ha. We're all looking forward to Thursday and the ultrasound. In the mean time.... enjoy this video of the Alchmy Puppies at around 8 weeks old. Sorry I can't tell you who these puppies are.... unfortunately their collars are hidden by their hair. I have a sneaking suspicion that the one playing tug-o-war with TinTin is Nickel! I also think that perhaps the one visiting with Eureka is Ico...

Day 22 (Sunday)

It is gay pride in Seattle this weekend and Ico has been fascinated by the happenings and the people. I am not quick enough with the camera to capture her expressions but I think if she could talk she would honestly be asking me what just walked by or what was that person wearing. We go on Thursday for the ultrasound so send puppy thoughts out to the universe. Here is Ico at 5 months when we were replacing the hardwood floors upstairs. She had a habit of getting right where we putting down the floor and either sitting or sprawling in the location for a belly rub.

Day 21 (Saturday)

Entering into week 4. Things will start to really progess in the development of the puppies. By the end of the week we can finally know definatively if Ico is pregnant by doing an ultrasound. We can get a rough idea of the number of puppies too... at least know a minimum number since we might not see them all.

Day 20 (Friday)

Nothing to report today. To get back at Ico for being a pill yesterday I gave her a bath today he he he he. The irony is she loves her baths and I think she feels like a princess and spoiled when she gets one. Here is Ico and Nickel on their one year birthday. Big ol fuzz balls!

Day 19 (Thursday)

So I do not need a sonogram or a doctor to tell me that Ico is pregnant, here's why. My precious little poodle who is well behaved a majority of the time has been a frickin terror today! She had to be put on time out five times today. This has never happened. Pregnancy causes mood swings, right? Either Ico is pregnant or aliens came in the middle of the night and replaced her with a terror dog! Here is Ico at 4 months with Joleen.

Day 18 (Wednesday)

My pleading and groveling for summerlike weather seemed to work, thank you to everyone who sent positive vibes. Yesterday and today have been awesome and the long range forecast is looking very promising. The girls have been running in and out of the house all day. Ico seems to be having to go outside more frequently these past two days. Her usual MO is she can go forever and not have to go outside to relieve herself however that seems to be changing. She is also eating more and drinking more water; Vikki said to anticipate this. Here are Ico and Pico on one of their tirades inside before bursting outside.

Day 17 (some family history)

I thought that I'd add some pics of some of Ico's ancestors. I don't have pics of the sire's family yet, but hope to get some for everyone. In the mean time here are pics of

Day 16 (Monday)

Well instead of celebrating the first day of summer in Seattle yesterday we celebrated the first day of winter. Please someone make this stop! I am not sure by Vikki's posting if she just wants pictures of Ico or picture of Ico's morning sickness??? Since this is a respectable blog (at least up until a few moments ago) I will assume pictures of Ico. Ico is actually losing weight not gaining so I am increasing her food intake. I am noticing a change in the way she sits (to the side and her belly seems to be changing. She is also napping more. Vikki and I will be going for a ultrasound next week so keep paws crossed. Here is a picture of Ico at three months.

Day 15 (Sun)

Nickel and TinTin spent the weekend at an agility trial. What a surprise when we saw Dancer and Diana!!! It was a family affair (Dancer is Ico and Nickel's sister and Diana is obviously Dancer's mom). All three silver girlies did great in the trial. The only thing missing was, of course Ico. Hopefully this fall we'll have a chance to have Mom and three daughters competing together. They all have their own styles but you can certainly see that family resemblance.

In the mean time Ico spent a quiet weekend at home. Raquel says that she continues to have morning sickness, a good sign but (according to Raquel.. ha ha ha) not all that fun. Raquel... hint hint... we want some pictures!

Here’s an up date on the Pregnancy Chart.

Day 13 (Friday)

Ico and the girls loved the sun today and we went on several walks. Here is a puppy pic of Ico around two months old. Ico is back to her old self and being incredibly goofy. The only changes I am noticing so far are she is sleeping a little more and morning sickness.

Day 12 (Thursday)

These two pictures (Ico and Pico) sum up how we are all feeling in Seattle. We are tired of rain and clouds; we want sun and temperatures over 60 degrees! Everyone start thinking that so we can will mother nature into summer! Anyway Ico is doing well, nothing to report.

Hi- Vikki here....
Thought I'd up load some past pictures of Ico for those who are interested.
BACK TO THE PAST....

Ico Baby Pictures... can you pick out Greenie???

Day 11 (Wednesday)

Ico's incision has healed but a half dollar size inflamed area has developed under the incision site. Dr. Wilcock stated this happens and not to panic. I've started hot compresses on the area and it should go away in three to five days. If it doesn't clear up or get's bigger Dr. W will drain it and hopefully that will be the end of that. I am noticing a change in Ico's stomach and her mammaries seem to be developing; she has started sitting to one side. In the picture at the top of her stomach you see the half dollar inflamed area and toward to bottom you can just make out the change in her mammaries.

Day 9 (Monday)

Good early Morning, Vikki here.
It's the wee hours of the morning and I've been awoken by my neighbor's party. Since this is the first nice nights of summer, I can't really complain (although I could get mad at the fact that they didn't invite ME!). The girls are snuggled in for the night and they're blissfully asleep and gleefully chasing rabbits.

Since I'm awake I thought it would be a great opportunity to post some pics of Ico's humble beginnings....

We'll start from the VERY beginning:
TinTin ready to be done with the whole pregnancy 'thing'!

Like mother ...... Like daughter

Ico was number 4 in birth order and got the color Green collar. She was named Greenie which just happened to be the name of Raquel's car... was it meant to be? :) This is the first four puppies born... TinTin taking a break.

Ico was the fourth puppy born but the first do do everything. She was the first to walk, first to open her eyes, first to venture outside, etc... Here she is taking her first walk at just 7 days old. Most puppies aren't starting to pull themselves up onto their four legs for another 3-4 days.

She was the most fearless of the pups and as you can see ...not afraid to claim her place in the world. BTW the other puppy sharing her throne just happens to be Nickel! TinTin's head was Nickels favorite spot. To this day they both love to perch on hills to survey their territory.

It takes a village: here's Auntie Corsa watching while TinTin takes a break.
